Land Acknowledgement

The Wellington Catholic District School Board is situated on the ancestral, territorial, and treaty lands of the Michi Saagig of the Credit and the Saukiing Ojibway Nation, both Anishinaabek Nations. This land also includes part of the Haldimand Tract, which was granted to the Six Nations of the Grand River. As original peoples, Indigenous Nations have distinct, constitutionally protected rights in their territories. For generations, this land has been and remains the home of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. We acknowledge this with gratitude. We are committed to the ongoing journey of learning and reconciliation, and we honour this commitment through our everyday actions.
